Vail and Glenwood Springs Rotary Clubs join US Bank and local library to serve the Navajo Nation in their book drive.US Bank
The Vail Rotary Club in conjunction with the Glenwood Noon Rotary Club assisted with a literacy project for the Navajo Nation  in Chinle, Arizona.  In Eagle County, the Avon Library donated 11 boxes of books geared for early readers to young adults  U.S. Bank branches in Eagle County served as a drop off point for many 100's of books that were donated.  Given that the nearest library in Chinle could be 70 miles away, this book drive will encourage reading and improved literacy rates by way of a traveling Bookmobile.  The early-childhood and young adult books that we collected will go to a Bookmobile that will travel to areas around Chinle with the help of "Chinle Planting Hope", an organization whose mission is to bring HOPE and EMPOWERMENT to families and communities on the Navajo Nation.  Thank you to everyone who donated books, encouraged donations and helped out with the donation shipments!!
